I started this song not knowing where it would go.  By the time I had finished I realized that in some ways it is  a little glimpse of my life past, present and what I hope is the future.  It is the first song I have written in 3/4 time and I think this one really showcases the influence that Chris DeBurgh has had on my music.

This song was written when I was younger and had a dream of visiting Wales where my grandmother was born.  I still have this dream to one day visit and see where part of my heritage began.  I didn't change very much from how I originally invisioned the song, and again let my love of writting music fit for an orchestra (at least brass and woodwind sections) bloom. So in memory of my grandmother, enjoy this song about the land of The Dragon Red

30 years after Gowans' 'Criminal Mind', our master theif NO-Man has served his time and is ready to be released....

Insipred by a comic page written by another Gowan fan, I asked Gowan if I could indeed continue the story. When he replied yes I damn near dropped my phone.  Part of the reason I had asked was that in writting the music, I knew I would be coming very close to the original in some respects.  The lead in line, solo and parts of the ending are in fact following very close to the musical lines of the original. As well lyrically I also have lines that parrallel the original.  My goal was to write a song that could flow off the original, yet stand alone as it's own song.

While I may never know what Mr. Gowan thinks of the song, I do hope that you all and he enjoys this part of No-Man's Story
